My whole life I have been a clairvoyant and last night I awoke with the name Judge Charles Henry in my head. I looked up the name and found this page. I hope to help find out why very soon. I know that this is important and hopefully soon I will know why. I am also aware some people dont believe in this but I hope whatever happens it brings comfort to those who loved Mr.Henry.
Chorus and musicals were where I got to know Chip and Pat. My prayers are with you all.
We have so many wonderful, shared memories from our time in the Peace Corps with Chip and Linda. We have had so much fun, love, and laughter while we were in Africa and since we have returned. Our time in Africa was so special and it made for a wonderful closeness that created our Peace Corps family. Right in the center of that family were Chip & Linda. Here are some of my favorite memories: The Lesotho Marathon, inner tubing down the Senqu River, seeing Chip roll into Matsieng on his motorcycle to visit Linda, your crazy "Idaho wedding," being roommates at our Peace Corps reunions, our fun visit to Chip's courtroom - with Joel wearing Chip's clothes, and Chip's constant banter with Joel.. Chip knew how to live life fully, always looking for his next "adventure." After we got to know his brothers Dan & Pat while living in Alaska, it became clear that this is a family characteristic. Laughing & teasing are Chip's other strengths. He sometimes can seem a bit gruff, but really, he was the kindest person around.Linda, you were blessed to have found such a great partner and to have had many wonderful years together. We witnessed how much he loved you and Adam and Kim. It's so great that as "empty nesters," you've been able to take some amazing road trips together. Watching for your photos, Linda, we've felt happy for the fun that you've been having together. We are so sad about this tragic accident that has prematurely taken him from his family and friends. We are sorry that we couldn't attend the funeral and the celebration of Chip's life. Please know that you are in our prayers. We will continue to remember the happy times and memories of our good friend, Chip! With love ~ Joel & Sherry

" Judge Henry was an honorable individual with great pride in our youth and he knew people could succeed and never come back into the system. I remember him saying "I hope I don't see you back here," and he would ask directly with such care in his heart. I truly am priviledged to have worked with such a caring individual that noticed and valued everyone's hard work. Judge Henry will be missed in the eyes of those that he worked with and those lives that he touched and supported for the better! He certainly made an impression on my life and my desire to follow in his humble footsteps. My heart and prayers are with his family and my colleagues in Geauga Co. "
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Henry Family and friends. Some of our fondest memories of Chagrin Falls days include evenings at the Chittocks with the Henrys and the Fords...Chip will be missed.
My very deepest condolences and prayers go out to the Henry family. Chip was loved and respected by many and all that ever were lucky enough to have crossed his path. I will always remember that smile of his and wit that seemed to make any day a pleasure to be around him. I was one of the lucky ones to of be able to know him growing up while in school. Again, my prayers go out to the family.
My most heartfelt condolences to the Henry family. We really liked Judge Henry. He was so fair and always had our best interest at heart. May he rest in peace.
I am trully sorry for the Family!! Judge Charles Henry protected my children during bad time in their lives. Thanks to him they are safe. He will always be remembered by myself and my girls!! Thanks Judge Henry!! You mean alot to us. YOU WILL BE MISSED!!
My deep condolences go out to Judge Henry's family. During this sorrowful time, I pray that joyful memories and comfort from many will help Judge Henry's family and community cope with the tragic loss of a great man. Judge Henry was a quietly impressive man among his peers. During my 14 years working with Ohio's juvenile judges, his presence, care and integrity made him a stand out. When Judge Henry helped teach continuing education for his colleagues, he was thoughtful and creative and choose to focus on the needs of children that are abused and neglected. In this way and more, his influence reached beyond the county lines to positively impact the lives of countless children and families throughout the state.
I am saddened by the news of Chip's untimely passing. He was such a great person and i feel happy to have been able to know him. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the family and friends. We have truly lost one of the good ones. May his memories and life lessons live on in all of the people he has touched along the way. I love you all and i am soo very sorry

Chip was a quiet, engaged and caring father, brother, cousin and leader. He was also knew how to have fun, fish, jump off a cliff, hunt, compete in touch football, laugh, engage in harmless family pranks and now and again play a practical joke on his brothers and cousins. He was a great guy a quiet role model for his younger relatives and as a father I regret that my sons and daughters will not have him around.
I knew the Judge while I served as Mayor and he was such a professional and always carried himself with compassion for those he dealt with. Chip will be missed both professionally and of course personally. We will never fully know the positive impact he had on our communities. God Bless You Chip! You will be missed.John
Dear family and friends......I first met Chip when he and I were elected to the Senate in 1994. Among other shared duties we had as Senators, wee both sat on the Judiciary Committee where, as anyone who knew Chip would know, Chip was an active and vital participant in the making of public policy. Anyone who dealt in the General Assembly with Chip knew him to be an honest, insightful, caring individual. He was an honorable, decent public servant. When I went on to become Attorney General, I had occasion to visit Chip in his natural habitat. His work on the bench was creative and caring. I knew the people in his county were in remarkable hands with him on the bench. We will miss Chip's ready smile and sharp intellect. His legacy, however, will live far beyond his too short years. My thoughts and prayers are with yu and the family......Betty Montgomery
Lori and I are deeply saddened by the news of Chip's passing. I came to know Chip after he performed my swearing-in ceremony for my first term as Bainbridge Township trustee. I was also quite amused as both he and Linda came over to collect firewood one year, climbing over piles of brush and picking out suitable lumber. Our most sincere condolences goes out to Chip's family and close friends...he will be greatly missed.
Linda and family What a tremendous loss for all the lives that Chip touched. I worked with him in the Prosecutor's Office and we came to be friends. My husband and I worked hard on his campaign for the State Senate and were very proud to do so. All the phone calls, knocking on doors, putting up yard signs, etc. And how proud we were of him and his victory. After he had been in the Senate for a while I had dinner with him in Columbus and he expressed to me how lonely he was without his family. He truly loved his wife and children with a huge passion. He was one of the most honest, caring and loving individuals I have ever had the pleasure to be friends with. All of Geauga County has truly lost a very rare man. I never heard anyone speak badly about Chip and that says it all for the wonderful man he was. I am so sorry for your loss and you and your extended family will be in my thoughts and prayers.Rosemary Galayda
"Chip" was one of the upperclassmen at the Delt house I looked up to. He was two years ahead of me and always treated the pledges and underclassmen well. I understand he really found his place in the Juvenile court how typical for someone who always took care of the younger people around him.
I met Chip when he ran for Ohio Senate. I was a Young Republican in Trumbull County. My favorite memory is as follows. We were at a McKinley Memorial Dinner where Marilyn Quayle was the key-note speaker. Linda could not attend because one of the kids were ill. Chip was sitting by himself at the head table. Without thinking, called to me to join him at the head table. Unfortunately, the Secret Service were not advised of this change in plans. As the agent grabbed me, I said I was with Chip, he said "No". He was kidding of course. I was allowed to go up there, and for many years after we had a great laugh. What a wonderful Godly Man. He will be missed.
Sending all our love, thoughts and prayers to Adam , Kim and Aunt Linda .... Uncle Chip will be forever in our hearts , and he will truly be missed!
I will never forget our kids playing together when they were small. Decorating the Christmas tree at Auburn Community Church and Chip being a mentor for my son before he made his confirmation.I also had the privilege of seeing Chip as "Judge Henry" many, many times. Recently I got to see him as he addressed a class that I attended in crisis intervention. I will forever remember Chip as such a intelligent, kind, well respected man. The Auburn community and Geauga County have suffered a tremendous loss. This news came as such a shock to all of us. Linda, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Debbie Davis & Family
To the family and friends of Judge Henry: I cannot express the sadness I felt when I heard of Chips passing. He was such a champion for children and families in Geauga County, and I know he will be sorely missed. As the chair of the Geauga County Family First Council, I have seen first hand how dedicated he was to children. He would use creative and innovative solutions to solving problems the children faced. He was always willing to go the extra mile to support children. Mother Theresa said, "I can do no great things, only small things with great love." Judge Henry did so many things with "great love". It showed in his personal and professional life. Please accept my deepest sympathy for the your personal loss and know that our community is feeling that loss as well. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
May you find comfort knowing that others are thinking of you at this difficult time. We are so sorry for your loss.
Linda, Adam & Kim,My heart goes out to you in hopes that some of the pain can be erased. "Chip" showed me a side that I did not understand at the time but definitely do now. I will never forget our victory-loosing party from the 1992 re-election campaign for state senate. After all the knocking on doors, handshakes, yard signs, parades, etc... I remember walking up to Chip and apologizing to him. He just shook his head with that ½ grin he had and looked relieved. He was smiling and his eyes said he was right where he wanted to be; he was with family and friends; he wasn't going to be away anymore. Now that I have family and ironically 2 adopted children domestically, I get what he was feeling. Those 2 years I worked with/for Chip, he was a teacher and he was teaching about family. Though we moved on in our careers, I can say he was a mentor and most of all, a Friend. God Bless You.
We were fortunate enough to meet Judge Henry through the adoption of our children. He will be remembered as a fair, kind, and honorable man, but far more importantly he will be remembered for helping all of the children he worked with. His memory will live on through the lives of the children he saved. Geauga County lost one of their finest. His family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Henry Family & Friends...Brock and I send our deepest sympathy and encouragement to remember that we can never fully lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in our lives everyday. Their love leaves an imprint in our memories. We hope you are able to find comfort in knowing that many lives have been touched by the love of Chip, and although I have never "really" met him, I feel like I have through a great friend, Kim. - Jena and Brock Billman
Linda and Family . . . words cannot express the sadness we feel. A great man, a wonderful family . . . such an asset to Geauga County.
Linda, Dodie and family, you are all in my prayers. What a devastating loss. Judge Henry was always a fair and considerate man and, while we did not always agree, he was always very professional on the bench, even when I could be irritating! I also enjoyed seeing him socially, which we got to do a lot when Rick, my husband, ran for Judge. He was always very kind and thoughtful and he will be sorely missed. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. We are so sorry for your loss.

My deepest condolences to family and friends. He was a wonderful man with a big heart. He was always looking out for the best interest of children. My prayers are for his family and friends. I'm sorry for your loss.
