Cecilia Edna Bozeglav “Dolly” (nee: Myers) age 85 of Chardon, Ohio quietly and peacefully passed away on February 22, 2021. Cecilia was born August 8, 1935 in Benbush, West Virginia. Dolly married her loving husband, Anton “Tony” Bozeglav on July 14,1951. They lived together for many years on the “One Mile Ranch” in Chardon. She was employed for many years by the Sisters of Notre Dame and later worked at the Convenient Store in Hambden.
Dolly was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved stopping for an ice coffee or an ice cream cone at McDonalds and especially spaghetti dinners at Guido’s.
Dolly was completely devoted to her family, and friends. Giving to others was one of her greatest joys. Cecilia was a dedicated Catholic with a special love for praying the daily rosary.
She is survived by her son, Anthony (Fran) Bozeglav, daughters, Monica Sankovich and Cecilia (John) Hanish; brother, Gary Myers; brothers-in-law, Andrew Cianfaglione, and Daniel Russo; Grandchildren, Jennifer (Bill) Zirm, John (Jen) Hanish, Jackie (Brian) Moorefield, Cindy (Ryan) Cieslak, Megan (Steve) Mallory, Mark (Courtney) Sankovich, Andy (Emmie)Sankovich, Tony Bozeglav, Kelsey (Jeff) Semancik and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Blanch Myers, husband, Anton Bozeglav, son-in-law, Mark Sankovich, siblings, Marshall Myers, Catherine Peterson, Dorothy Mazza, Virginia Belinc, Leona McClellan, Margaret Myers, Sarah Peters, Carolyn Cianfaglione, Townsend Myers, and two sibling children buried at Thomas, West Virginia, Deloris Myers and William Myers.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at St Lucy’s Church, 16280 Kinsman Road, Middlefield, Ohio 44062 with burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery at 10366 Chardon Road Chardon, Ohio 44024.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Cecilia’s name.
