Carolyn E. (Warner) Lacko, 86, of Chester Township, died July 13, 2009, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Township.Born June 5, 1923, in Painesville, she had lived in Chester Township since 1949.Mrs. Lacko was active in the former Chester Garden Club and a member of the Chesterland Baptist Church for many years. She served the church as the flower committee. She enjoyed her time in the Red Hat Society, loved to play cards and games and spending time with her family.Mrs. Lacko had worked as a bookkeeper for Moss Farm Dairy, Prim and Pretty in Chester Township and Tremco in Solon.Survivors are her children, Shirley (William) Hamilton of Chester Township, and Sandra (William) Galiardi of Newbury Township; grandchildren, David Horton of South Jordan, Utah, Stephanie (Kirk) Simpkins of Newbury Township, Claudine (Daniel) Oldfield of Lakewood, Audrey (Dale) Schwartz of Normal, Ill., Jonathan (Jamie) Galiardi of Chester Township, and William Galiardi Jr. of Chester Township; great-grandchildren, Isabella Simpkins, Alexander Schwartz, Kendalyn Simpkins, Rachel Oldfield and Mia Simpkins; and brother, Robert Warner of Laurel Springs, N.J.Her husband, Emil M. Lacko, whom she married March 22, 1947, in Cleveland, died June 18, 1969. Her infant daughter, Susan Jane Lacko; parents, Reid and Nellie (Hill) Warner; and sisters, Virginia Whitlock and Jeanne Reimers, are also deceased.The Rev. Joe Woods, Interim Pastor, of Chesterland Baptist Church in Chester Township will officiate. Burial will be in Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
