Carol Klaus (nee Gawlikowski), 65, of Montville, died Oct. 3, 2008, at her residence.Born Nov. 5, 1942, she lived in Montville since 1976. Carol Gawlikowski married Frank Klaus on July 27, 1963, at Thompson Methodist Church.She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, playing poker and collecting dolls.Mrs. Klaus retired from Save-a-Lot food stores, where she worked as a cashier.Survivors are her husband, Frank Klaus of Montville; daughters, Denise (Mike) Steen of Windsor and Tammy (Andy) Susman of Windsor; son, Frank S. Klaus of Macedonia; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Rose (Richard) Whitely of Geneva and Shirley Ondercin of Montville; brothers, David (Shirley) Gawlikowski of Montville and Cy Gawlikowski of Ashtabula; and many nieces and nephews.Her daughter, Betty Jane Klaus and her parents, Sylvester and Betty Jane (Kuntz) Gawlikowski and Hugo and Mary Klug, are deceased.Pastor Bob Csontos of Huntsburg Baptist Church will officiate services. Burial will be in Montville Cemetery.
