Carl R. Kronk, 79, a lifetime resident of Claridon Township, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012, at University Hospital in Cleveland.He was born April 2, 1933, in Claridon Township.Mr. Kronk worked as a sales manager for the former Addressograph-Multigraph in Cleveland and national sales manager for Suntronics of Chicago, retiring in 1989.Carl R. Kronk married Susanne Stone on Aug. 20, 1955, in Hamburg, N.Y.He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps, serving during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Chardon High School, Class of 1951, attended Ohio University was a graduate of the University of Buffalo, Class of 1959, member of St. Luke Episcopal Church in Chardon and Village Lodge 274 F & AM in Burton, charter member of the Legend Lake Golf Course in Munson Township, and former board member and president of the Geauga County Historical Society.Carl was an avid collector and dealer of Antique Furniture. He enjoyed collecting and repairing vintage clocks.Survivors are his wife, Susanne S. Kronk of Claridon Township; one daughter, Melinda S. (Patrick) Carver of Claridon Township; son, Robert C. (Barbara Hall) Kronk of Claridon Township; grandchildren, Lindsay and Camille Kronk, Miranda and Matthew Carver; and brother, Kenneth (Iona) Kronk of Claridon Township.He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl F. and Ruth (Nee: Meyer) Kronk.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, Chardon. The Rev. Chris McCann of the church will officiate.Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at the church before the service.
