CAROLE ANN MONGELLUZZI (nee: SABETTA) 

Age 84 of Munson Twp., died June 28, 2023 at Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Hts. Born June 12, 1939 in Cleveland, to Frank Sabetta and Carmella (nee: Serafini) Lawrence, raised in Little Italy, she has been a Munson Twp. resident for the last 50 years. Carole was an avid reader, she loved to sew, quilt, travel and playing cards. Her greatest joys were spending time with her grandchildren and with her close friends. Carole helped raise two of her grandchildren. She worked in the cafeteria at Munson Elementary, Chardon Middle School and High School, following her grandchildren. Her sunshine was her great granddaughter, Chloe. 

Her survivors include children Cheryl Roy of Stow, Carla (Gerald Filler) Mongelluzzi of Stow, Nicholas (Shawn) Mongelluzzi of Chardon; grandchildren Nick Mongelluzzi of Willoughby, Nichole (Ralph) Hayes of Chardon, Amber Mongelluzzi of Cleveland, and great granddaughter, Chloe Hayes. She also leaves siblings Frank (Tina) Sabetta, Susan (John) Bohnovic, Fran (David) Skotko. Carole was preceded in death by her husband, William Mongelluzzi, son Mark Mongelluzzi, son in law Richard Roy, Jr. and her parents. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North Street, Chardon. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
