Billy Joe Seagraves, 74, of Cambridge, passed away Feb. 16, 2010, at Cambridge Health and Rehab.Born April 9, 1935, in Kayford Cabin Creek, W.Va., he moved from Chardon to Cambridge in 1999.Mr. Seagraves was an auto and tow motor mechanic, having worked for Ash Motors and Caterpillar until his retirement in 1985, after 20 years.He enjoyed working on cars, and especially enjoyed owning his 1947 Mercury convertible and his first car, a 1927 Chevy. He enjoyed hunting and playing Solitaire.Survivors are his wife, Cheryl (Pike) Seagraves of Cambridge, whom he married April 30, 2004, in South Euclid; sons, Billy Paul (Stacy) Seagraves of Chardon, Bobby Ray (Marion) Seagraves of Geneva, and Richard Allen Seagraves of Galloway; grandchildren, Angela Butcher, Crystal, Bobby J., Craig, and Brian Seagraves, and Tiffany Turchan; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Sarah Butcher; stepdaughters, Chris (Philip) Gray of Northfield and Robyn (Mike) Chapline of South Euclid; stepson, Michael Roush of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; three stepgrandchildren, Sarah and Bobby Chapline and Dylan Gray; brother, Arnold (Brenda) Seagraves of Charleston, W.Va.; and sisters, Rosalie (Gorman) Stanley of Beckley, W.Va., and Sybil (Bill) Snodgrass of Cabin Creek, W.Va.He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Oda Seagraves; first wife, Shelva Jean (Wilson), to whom he was married to for 45 years; and sister, Phyllis Pettry.Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
