Austin W. Stinchcomb, 81, of Chardon, died March 31, 2007, at Chardon Health Care Center, in Chardon.He was born Jan. 23, 1926, in Cleveland, and had been a Chardon resident for the past 5 years, formerly of South Russell Village.Mr. Stinchcomb was a U.S. Marine Veteran, a Corporal, he fought at Okinawa in the Pacific Theater.He worked as a bus driver for Cleveland RTA.Survivors are his wife whom he married Sept. 13, 1947, in Cleveland, LaVerne of Chardon; and two brothers.He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister.The Rev. Thomas Gilles of the Church of St. Mary, Chardon will be officiating at the service.
