Antonio F. Palazzo age 79 of Chardon died Feb 15, 2012 at Tri-Point Medical Center. Born Feb. 11, 1933 in Cleveland to Pasquale and Christine Palazzo, he had lived in the Cleveland area until moving to Chardon in 1969. After serving as an aerial photographer with the US Navy on the USS Shangri La, Tony returned home and married Betty Goertz in Gossel, KS. Tony enjoyed golf, bowling and playing the “Button Box” with the Fairport Jammers. After his retirement he worked at the Painesville YMCA and made many dear friends. Tony’s greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife Betty (nee: Goertz) Palazzo of Chardon Twp.; daughters Diane (Craig) Grove of Willoughby and JoAnne Palazzo of Cleveland; son Steve (Laura) Palazzo of Willowick; grandchildren Joey, Michael, Kate and Dylan; and sisters Kathryn DiFranco of Lyndhurst and Carol Palace of Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joe Palazzo.
