William “Bill” Edward Skoch, age 65, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on November 9, 2022. Bill was born on May 7, 1957, in Chardon, OH to Joseph and Helen (nee: Holy) Skoch. He held a variety of technical positions at Lubrizol Corp. and most recently at Avery Dennison.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn (nee: Ringenbach), his two children, Kristen, and Kevin Skoch; father, Joseph; siblings, Gary (Pamela) and Michael (Jane) Skoch.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen.

Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North Street, Chardon OH 44024, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 a.m. A private family burial will take place at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Greater Cleveland Food Bank, 13815 Coit Rd, Cleveland, OH 44110 or Rescue Village, 15463 Chillicothe Rd, Novelty, OH 44072

Dear Skoch Family: My condolences on the loss of Bill. I worked at Lubrizol for 23 years, and had many interactions with Bill. He was always a kind gentleman, when he dealt with me. I did not know, until I read the obituary, that his brother Michael was married to Jane Dowd. Jane and I grew up as neighbors on East 149th. Michael and Jean, again my condolences on the loss of your brother, and brother-in-law. May the perpetual light shine upon him. And through the mercy of God, may he rest in peace with Christ.

My sincere condolences to Marilyn and the entire Skoch Family. It was always wonderful interacting with Bill (Wrangler). He was always upbeat and a joy to be around. He literally left his mark in my basement because he patched the concrete block that had issues which I really appreciated (among other projects). I'm sure he is now resting comfortably and heaven is shining even brighter!

Marilyn, We are so sorry for your loss but glad Bill is no longer suffering. He was a wonderful man who will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace. Our thoughts and payers are with you and the family.

Our hearts are broken as Bill was such a vital part of our neighborhood; he’s left a huge void, and he will be so greatly missed. Hugs to you, Marilyn. We’re always there for you.
