WILLIAM “BILL”A. LANG

Age 77 of Chardon Twp., died March 10, 2021 at Chardon Healthcare Center. Born May 27, 1943 to Albert and Jeanne (nee: Smith) Lang in East Cleveland, he was a lifelong Chardon resident. Bill was a successful business owner in Chardon, Lang Distributors, for 35 years. He served on the Ford Motor Company, OEM Parts Advisory Board. Bill’s pride and joy was his 1957 T-Bird, showing it off at several Antique Car Shows. He also belonged to a T-Bird Club.

Survivors include children William Todd Lang of Chardon Twp., Deanna (Bryan) Sicking of Cincinnati and Victoria (Matthew) Robinson of Denver, CO. Grandchildren Meredith, Natalie, Chase and Charlotte. Brothers James (Donna) Lang and Thomas (Christine) Lang both of Marco Island, FL., sister in law, Marion Lang of Concord Twp., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Albert, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 15, 2021, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, funeral service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, followed by private burial at All Souls Cemetery.

The family requests donations to Geauga County Department on Aging, 12555 Ravenwood Dr., Chardon, 44024 or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, 44110.

To Todd and the entire Lang family, I am truly sorry for the loss of Bill. I am glad I gave a picture of my tennis player and instructor Todd with his dad taken many years ago at the tennis courts. God bless you all. We go back decades and I have many great memories. May Bill rest in peace.

I knew Mr. Lang as a friend of their family. The first time I met him I was very nervous and he broke thru that cloke with his sharp wit and inquisitive smile. He was always very welcoming and loved his family very much. God bless him and his family.

Bill was a Chardon High classmate of mine. I remember him as a sweet guy. Condolences to all his family.

To all of Bill's family, friends and loved ones I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of getting to know Bill the past few years while he was undergoing PT to work back from illness and injury. Though he may have been down, he was not out. He always came with a sharp wit, sense of humor, positive outlook, and willingness to work hard. I always looked forward to seeing him. He will be missed. May he Rest In Peace.

Bill you had a personality that always shined, an will be missed

My condolences to all of the Lang family. Bill has been a very good friend for many years. I will always remember that tall skinny kid standing at the dealers parts counter when i would come to many of the Cleveland Metro Dealers. Bill was always very proud of his family and always spoke of them. Tod and Bill were especially close and Bill had told me on several occasions how proud he was of him and grateful for for his help. I will miss my friend a great deal along with many others who knew him. Bill untill we meet again, RIP my friend.

We met Bill 33 years ago when he attended our wedding as my sister’s blind date. He has been part of our family ever since and will be greatly missed. Prayers go out to his family.
