Thomas Ralph Barstow, Age 86, of Chardon Twp., OH, died on Friday, October 19, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Kirtland, OH, on June 9, 1932, to Thomas L. and Helen R. (Nee: Samsen) Barstow, and was raised in Chester Twp., OH. Tom attended the former Chester School, and was a veteran of the US Army Corp of Engineers during the Korean War, and serving during the battles of Pork Chop Hill and Old Baldy.

Tom worked for over 36 years delivering heating oil for the Western Reserve Farm Coop (Landmark). He enjoyed drag racing at the Thompson Drag Raceway and circle track racing Cloverleaf Speedway.

Survivors include his wife, Judith (Nee: Armstrong) of Chardon Twp., whom he married on August 5, 1975; 2 daughters, Suzanne (Fred) Dovsek of Munson Twp, OH, and Wendy White of New Lyme, OH; 2 sons, Thomas (Jeanine) Barstow of Chardon Twp., OH, and Joseph Barstow of Newbury Twp., OH; 4 grandchildren, Joey Barstow, Tanner, Warren, and Dominic Dovsek; 1 sister, Julia (Gilbert) Gribble of Avon, NY, and 1 brother, Jack Barstow of Garrettsville, OH and many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Fred and Richard; and 3 sisters, Catherine Schulz, Betty Jo Sherbondy, and Barbara Barstow.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 22, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, OH. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
