Mr. Taghi Jahangiri, father of Dr. Jay Jahangiri, a longtime resident of Chardon, passed away at his home in Chardon on Monday, June 14, 2021. He was born on February 22, 1926 in Lahijan, Persia (near the southern border of the old Soviet Union). Tajgi chose to come to America through the door and become a proud American.
He joins his beloved wife of 61 years, Monireh, in Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
Taghi will always be remembered as the pillar of the Jahangiri family both in Persia and in the United States of America.
He survived by two daughters and their husbands, two sons and their wives, ten grandchildren, and six greatgrandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by a procession to the Chardon Municipal Cemetery for burial service.
