Steven “Steve” Petersen

Steven G. “Steve” Petersen age 65, of Munson Twp. died July 7, 2012 at Heather Hill Healthcare Center in Munson. Born Feb 4, 1947 in Cleveland, OH to Vernon and Willa (nee: Martin) Petersen, he was a lifelong area resident and a longtime area property developer and builder. Steve married Lorri (nee: Pulsford) Barckert on May 30, 1987 in Munson. Steve enjoyed working, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially with his children in the shop. He is survived by his wife Lorri (nee: Pulsford) Petersen of Munson Twp.; daughter Lindsay (Nick) Baar of Newbury Twp; son Kyle Petersen of Munson Twp; granddaughter Payton Baar of Newbury Twp.; brothers Jerry (Kathy) Petersen of Munson Twp., Gordon (Marian) Petersen of Claridon Twp. and Richard Petersen of Chester Twp.; sister Joyce Hoge of Atlanta; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday July 11, 2012 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, (St. Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon with Rev. Dr. Henry Woodruff officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Fowler’s Mill Cemetery on Fowlers Mill Road in Munson Twp, OH.
