STEVEN R. DESANTIS, Age 47, of Munson Twp., OH, died on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013. He was born in Savanna, GA on June 11, 1966, raised in Newbury Twp., and has lived in Munson Twp. for the past 14 years. He was a “Sanitation Engineer” since he was 16 years old. Steven enjoyed driving truck, travelling, and spending time at home with his family. Steven is survived by his wife, Diane (Nee: Sedivy) of Munson Twp., whom he’s been with for 27 years, getting married on Aug. 29, 1992, in Newbury Twp; Daughters, Summer and Brittany DeSantis, both at home; Grandson, Wyatte Steven DeSantis; Sisters in Law, Doreen Hull of Troy Twp, OH, Debra Sedivy of Munson Twp., and Danette Sedivy of Middlefield Twp,. OH, and Brother in Law Dennis Sedivy Jr. of Burton Village, OH. Steven was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald DeSantis. The family will host a gathering for friends on Friday, December 6, from 5 :00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH. The last time I spoke to Steven was a few years back when he was working with a road construction crew. He called out to me, having recognized me, even though we cousins had not seen each other for quite some time. We had a nice conversation that day. When I heard the news Stevie D. had passed, my heart sank. I could not believe it was true. I had the pleasure to work with him and he was a crazy and funny person, always made me laugh, It was a pleasure to have known him. He will be missed by soooooo many, May you rest in peace Stevie D.
