Stanley Paul Zupon Jr., 55, of Painesville, passed away Sept. 6, 2012, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township. Born Dec. 12, 1956, in Euclid, he had been a lifelong area resident. Mr. Zupon was a science teacher for the Cleveland City Schools. Mr. Zupon was very active with his sons, Boy Scouts, softball, bowling, fishing, camping and community activities. He was a guitarist with “Fracas” in Lake and Geauga establishments. Survivors are his sons, Dale Zupon of Chardon, Cory Zupon of Charlotte, N.C., and Brett Zupon of Chardon; sister, Fran Zupon of Kirtland; nieces and nephew, Heather, Jesse and Justin Ward. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Paul and Albina (Vehar) Zupon, Sr. The family will host a gathering from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon.Private family burial will be held at a later date.
