Shirley GAWLIKOWSKI

Shirley Gawlikowski, Age 75, a 48 year resident of Montville Twp. OH, died Friday, November 24, 2017, at UH Geauga Medical Center, Claridon Twp., OH. She was born in Cleveland, OH on September 19, 1942, to George and Rose (Nee: DeCapite) Sorace. She was a graduate of Holy Name High School in Parma Hts., OH. Shirley married David Gawlikowski in Montville, OH, on December 31, 1976. She worked for the Geauga County JTPA before retiring.
Shirley loved traveling, baking, camping, spending time with friends and family, but mostly, she loved “making memories” with her grandchildren. She was caring and loving and her beautiful smile touched the lives of all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, David, of Montville Twp.; daughters, Sharon (Jeffrey) Holy and Susan (James) Speelman, both of Hambden Twp.; step-children, Dave (Michelle) Gawlikowski of Rome, OH and Melissa Gawlikowski of Windsor; grandchildren, Ashley (Jason) Bryant, Jeffrey and Ally Holy, Nathan (Cheryl) Burnett; great-grandchildren, Alexa Pesho, Brooke Bryant, Nathan, Ava and Emma Burnett, Felicia Gawlikowski; brothers, Edward (Ruth) Sorace, Frank (Denise) Sorace, sister, Ruth (Butch) Hord. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and brother, George Sorace.
