Shirley Alice Haueter (Davis) was born on October 18, 1927 and left her time on earth on March 28, 2019. Shirley was an elementary school teacher
and reading specialist in Newbury Ohio for many years. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Kent State University. Shirley
was active in the 4H and volunteered at the Chardon Public Library, the polls on election day and the Geauga County Fair.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Ray. She is survived by her children Jeanette Darbe (Alan), Elisabeth Haueter, Rachel Shannon (Mike), Hannah
Haueter and John Haueter, grandchildren Kimberley Komar (Kevin) and Kristy Smith (Jonathan) and great grandchildren Gavin, Caleb, Teagan, and Avery Komar
and Lucas Smith.
Donations can be made in Shirley’s honor to the Hospice of the Western Reserve.
