September 11, 1940 - January 12, 2014

Sheila N. (nee: Hurley) Run, M.D. age 73 of Munson Twp. died Jan. 12, 2014 at her home. Born Sept. 11, 1940 in San Francisco, CA to Harold and Lauryne (nee: Wilson) Hurley, she has been a 33 year area resident. Sheila, an Anesthesiologist, retired from Cleveland Clinic in 2004. Sheila married Tocky L. Run Nov. 2, 1974 in East Cleveland. She enjoyed quilting, reading, traveling and attending daily mass at St. Mary Parish in Chardon. Survivors include her husband Tocky of Munson Twp.; daughter Cindia (Peter) Wren of Cincinnati, OH; sons David (Robin) of Viera, FL and Michael of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Adelaide and Ignatius Wren and Lincoln and Beckett Run; brother Terrence Hurley of San Francisco, CA; sister Denise Dorrego of Rohnert Park, CA; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents. FUNERALMASS: 11:30am on Fri. Jan. 17, 2014 at St. Mary Parish 401 North Street Chardon, OH 44024. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Munson Twp. Dear Tocky and family, I was saddened to learn about Sheila's passing. She was a great lady, who, I know loved her family. She was always talking about her grandchildren. I remember all the quilts she showed me and I enjoyed talking with her about her new quilting projects and/or ideas. I am very sorry for your loss and trust that you have fond memories to keep close to your heart.

Dear Tocky, David, Cindy & Mike, Sheila is a great physician, dear wife, lovely mother and faithful christian.She loves God and people.I admire her for her courage to fight cancer and positive attitude toward her life.We remember the good time when your family came to visit us in St. Louis home. We deeply thanks to her for her love to spend many, many hours to quilt a master piece of table runner for our gift. We love her. We miss her.We are going to see her again in the future. Dear Tocky and family, my deepest sympathy. Sheila was a kind, sweet lady who I was blessed to know. She was one of my first Red hat ladies and a dear friend. She is now at peace with her Lord.

I first met Dr. Run in the main OR at the Cleveland Clinic many years ago. After she retired from Anesthesiology, I began seeing her at mass at St. Marys in Chardon. I would go up and talk to her and could see the light of Christ shining from her. Even through her illness she could be found sitting in the front row singing and praising God. I hope you are all comforted knowing our Lord is welcoming her into heaven with open arms. God Bless You...

Dear Tocky, Cindia, Michael, & David: It was our pleasure to see & talk with Sheila over the past years. It's been an honor to know her and share her important things, such as, her quilting projects, antique sewing machine, Christ Child projects, our trip to Ireland together, and best of all - her children & grandchildren. She was so special to us - you'll never know her impact she had upon this earth. We will miss her greatly. Dear Family of Sheila Run, My heart goes out to each and everyone of you at the loss of your loved one. I had the honor to meet Sheila at St. Mary's when she was on the healing prayer team. I loved to hear her sing Let the Fire Fall. We became friends through the years and she came to me for massage treatments during her illness. She was an inspiration to all she met.
