SELINA B. FIRE
Age 34 of Newbury Twp., formerly of Chardon, died May 2, 2018 at Mapleview Care Center in Chardon, after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Born June 3, 1983 in Mayfield Hts., she was a lifelong area resident. She was a 2001 graduate of Chardon High School and enjoyed her jobs as a Veterinary Aid. She loved her animals, enjoyed hiking with her dad and enjoyed the out of doors.
Survivors include her mother, Gerianne (nee: Ferrar) Oldaker, father Walter Jay Fire, sister Ashley (David) Haaser and her grandmother, Jane Summerson. Selina also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Amber Fire and her step father, Ron Oldaker.
The family will host a gathering for family and friends at a later date. Burr Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The family suggests donation to Geauga County Rescue Village, 15463 Chillicothe Rd, Novelty, OH 44072.
