Dear Mineo Family: Linda and I have many wonderful memories of your parents, spanning almost 50 years, and it is sad indeed to see that Sam has passed away. He had a special ability to engage the people around him, and he could start an interesting conversation at the drop of a hat with any person of any age. All of us who knew Sam remember his kindness and decency, but we do want to share one memory that relates to my dad who passed away earlier this year. As my dad was fading both in health and memory over the past few years, Sam was a regular visitor and friend, even when Sam's own health was poor and even when my dad was no longer much of a conversationalist. Sam visited nonetheless, and we shall always remember his loyalty and kindness. He was, all in all, a genuinely good guy in a world where there are lots of excuses to be something other than that. May our Lord bless him, Annie and the family that remains here to remember them both. Bob and Linda Weber

We will always remember your Dad having a great sense of humor. He was always kind to me. When I had children of my own he and your mom took a genuine interest in them. Christmas at the Weber's and the many weddings are but a few of the wonderful and warm memories we have. We are forever grateful for their generosity and kindness. They will always be in our hearts.May God Bless you all,The Zulandts

Sue, Ellen, Cathy and Jeff,I am thinking of you in your time of sadness and loss. Whenever I think of growing up on JoyAcre Lane, I can't help thinking about your Dad. We could never do anything without him knowing about it! I'll never forget when we were in your backyard and your Dad offered me a tomato from his garden. I said I couldn't eat it because it burned my mouth and your Dad said "or your mouth hurts from smoking"! How did he know that we were smoking cigarettes at our sleepover in Carraher's garage the night before??? Your Dad always let us know in a teasing way that he knew what we were up to. I have many, many memories of that time, and I will always think fondly of your Dad. Again, my thoughts are with you. Becky (Pace) Foltz

Just wanted to leave a note to let your whole family know that some of my favorite childhood memories happened in your home. From Lincoln Log battles, to front yard 1 on 1 football games, to the day that Sam took me along with Jeff to the Browns training camp where I almost got Leroy Kelly's autograph... (still see him sitting there as we were stuck in traffic) I've been here in Pennsylvania for over 3 decades, stuck between Philadelphia fans and Pittsburgh fans and I am glad to say my love for the Browns has never wavered. I have their banner hanging in my classroom along with a bunch of other Cleveland nicknacks. My love of that team was in part tattooed on my heart by Sam. I wish you all the best, and I hope that you know how much I have thought over the years of the wonderful times i had with your family.
