RUSSELL EUGENE “RUSTY” MOSS

Age 55 of Chardon, died unexpectedly at UH Geauga Medical Center, Claridon Twp. Born April 30, 1965 in Claridon Twp, to the late Mike Moss and Carol Ann (nee: Johnson) Moss Wiech, he was a lifelong Chardon resident. Rusty loved music, dancing and playing the “slots”. He attended Metzenbaum School from the time he was 3 years old and transitioned to MSI in the Workshop.

Rusty is survived by his mother, his brother, Tim (Andrea) Moss of Concord Twp., Uncle John Johnson of Toledo and Aunt Betty Johnson of Chardon. He also leaves step siblings, Jim (Pam) Wiech of Chardon, Linda (Bob) Childs of Mentor and Ron (Christie) Wiech of Middlefield. He was preceded in death by his father, his stepfather, Ted Wiech, brother Mike Moss and stepbrother, Tim Wiech.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 14, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM and will be live streamed on our website. Burial will take place at Chardon Municipal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the family to help defray funeral costs.
