Ronald Ryan Keene Sr., age 63, of Chagrin Falls, peacefully passed away on January 22, 2022, at UH Geauga Medical Center. Born April 15, 1958, to Burie “Sonny” and Ruby Ellen (nee: Jarrett) Keene in Euclid, Ohio. He married Renee Millsap on September 8, 1978, at the Hambden Congregational Church.

Ron worked at Mazel Co. in Solon, Ohio. He attended the Chesterland Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was an outdoorsman and loved nature. He loved camping and was a master at building a campfire. Ron enjoyed Renaissance and Medieval Fairs. He loved dressing up in costume and playing characters. He loved hard work and loved his family even more. Spending time with his grandchildren was his greatest joy.

Survived by his wife of 43 years, Renee Keene of Chagrin Falls; son, Ron Jr. of Chagrin Falls and Jennifer (Corey) Malone of Chardon; Mother, Ellen Keene of Aurora; brother, Norman (Dee) Keene of Aurora; Grandchildren, Zachary Ryan, Sofia Grace, and Jaxon Lee Malone. He will be missed by many friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Burie “Sonny” Keene.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to begin at 12:00 p.m.

I have a very fond memory of sitting with Ron Sr, listening to Skynard and putting back a few beers on his birthday back in the summer of '99. He was a great man and I am sad he has passed on. Heartfelt condolences from my wife and I to Renee, Ron Jr and Jennifer.

Words cannot describe how sorry I am for your loss. From the time I met Ron, I was impressed by his humor, tenderness and “macho” ( in a good way ). By that I mean he was a loving, caring and giving man. Amazing human being. He will be dearly missed.
