ROMAN E. MILLER, age 81 of Montville Twp., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 31, 2021. Roman was born in Parkman Twp. on March 30, 1940 to Edwin and Susan (nee: Troyer) Miller. Roman lived his life to the fullest. He loved spending time with family and friends, helping others, spending time outdoors, fishing, boating and armchair managing the Cleveland Indians. Above all, his passion was to serve Jesus and others.
Roman will be greatly missed by his daughter Cheryl (Phillip) Aleshire of Sugarcreek, his grandchildren Emily Aleshire, Allison (Darrel) Beachy and Ryan Aleshire, sisters Clara Young of AZ, Martha (Ervin) Miller of KY, brother-in-law Mintor Prunty, Jr. and niece Barbara Hill of Chardon Twp. Along with these, he will be missed by so many friends and family who his life greatly impacted. He has been greeted in Heaven by his wife Viola, whom he married June 1, 1963 and died October 11, 1996, his parents and siblings Cora, Elizabeth, Mike and Maryon.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be Friday, June 4, 2021, 11:00 AM at Hambden Congregational Church, 13840 G.A.R. Highway, Chardon. Burial will follow at Montville Township Cemetery. The family requests donations be made to the church.
