ROCCO ANTHONY DiFRANCO, SR., Age 76, died unexpectedly at Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland on March 27, 2020, following an Auto accident on Tuesday, the 24th. Born March 9, 1944, in E. Cleveland to Anthony and Nancy (nee: Salvia) DiFranco, he has been a Montville Twp. resident since 1969. Rocco was active on the Montville Fire Department for 30 years, having held every office from firefighter/EMT to Chief. He loved cooking and working on vehicles especially, with his brothers. He has been the Electrical Supervisor for Home Depot for 21 years, with the Highland Hts., Cleveland Hts., Chardon and Mentor stores.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Rose (nee: Leanza) DiFranco, whom he married September 7, 1964, children Christine DiFranco of Mayfield Hts., Rosemary DiFranco Carver of Middlefield, Rocco A. (Lisa) DiFranco, Jr., of Naperville, IL, Mario (Stephanie) DiFranco of Montville and Anthony (Kimberly) DiFranco of Chardon, grandchildren Brittany (Chuck) Glogouski, Kevin Carver, Jacob and Nicholas DiFranco, Mariana, Makenzie and Delayne DiFranco and Tawnee (Anthony) Gucciardo. Rocco also leaves his brothers Anthony (Dawn), Dominic (JoEllen) DiFranco and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Angela.
Due to the CDC and Ohio Dept. of Health recommendations for COVID-19, the funeral service and burial will be private family only. A Celebration of Rocky’s life will be held at a later date. Please check back on this website and our Facebook page for updates on dates, place and times. Thank you all for your cooperation and patience.
No online streaming of services will be available, as the family has decided not to gather, because of the COVID-19 directives.
