Robert “Terry” T. Moore, age 81, passed away November 17, 2022, with his loved ones by his side at his home in Munson Township, Ohio.  He was born on May 25, 1941, to Robert William and Ruth (nee: Long) in Findlay, Ohio where he was raised.  Terry went on to attend Bowling Green University where he was Vice President of his fraternity, Phi Kappa Tau and received his BS in Education in 1964.  

It was during those years at Bowling Green that he met the love of his life, Janet R. Hanslik. What started as a friendship blossomed into a loving relationship. They married August 31, 1963 and moved to Chesterland where they began their family.  In 1976, they moved to their forever home in Munson Township. 

Terry taught History, Political Science and Literature at Mentor High School for many years and then went into insurance sales.  After much success as a Sales Executive in Health Insurance he retired from Self Funded Plans in 2002. 

Terry was a die-hard fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians and many Saturdays you could find him watching college football.  He had a passion for literature and was a huge history buff, especially when it came to World War II. 

Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years, Jan; children, Brett A. of Burton, Ohio, Bryan C. (Michele) of Concord Township, Ohio and Robyn G. of Chardon, Ohio; and grandson, Gavin.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Joyce Moore Wood. 

A small Family Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio.  The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association at https://www.heart.org/en/
