Remember our time playing back yard football. Shooting baskets at Courtney Burton stable. Singing Beetles songs while riding the school bus. Bowling but difficult to compete w/ Rand. Later on after Rand initiated a reunion between the two of us, we enjoyed Indians games, playing golf but this time he had difficulty competing w/ me. Also Rand and Julie came to Moundsville for a weekend and we enjoyed a Rock n roll / Du-wop show at the Capital Theater in Wheeling w/ seats in the front row. He and I sang to every song that was sung that evening. “Now that’s what I’m talking about”.

Sometimes there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why a close friend or family member leaves us so early... But, God shares An insight with us in the book of Isaiah 57:1 It’s going to be hard to imagine not hearing Rands hearty laughter or listening to the funny jokes and stories he had so readily available to share. Our families had a great beginning Celebrating the birth of our sons together. (Rand & Jess:) Rand was gifted in many ways, singing was one of them that brought us all smiles .. He even shared a couple of praise & worship songs for us at our church .. We’ll miss our Sweet Brother more than we could express .. and, we were so blessed to share in his life ♥️

I say goodbye to a good friend, and hope that God can keep up with all your jokes. Please try to keep them clean ! Remember all your friends and brothers down here, as we will surely never forget you. Rest in peace my friend.

Its very sad to lose a good friend at any age, but to lose a friend at such a young age is too sad for words to heal. Rand was a funny guy, always ready to share a joke or a prank. I will fondly recall the cups of coffee we shared as we embarked on great conversation and a few very funny moments. God keep your soul together with your sense of humor.... keep watch over us all brother.
