Phyllis Strater (nee: Robinson), Age 85, of Lakewood, Ohio, died on Monday, June 18, 2018. She was born on December 20, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio to Arthur and Marcella (nee: Haas) Robinson. She attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing earning a Diploma in Nursing.
She was an active member of the Church of the Ascension in Lakewood, Ohio. She loved cooking and sewing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Richard (Nancy Ann) of Columbus, Ohio, Stuart (Kris) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michael (Deborah) of Chardon, OH; 8 grandchildren, Bradford (Megan), Kyle (Sarah), Jennifer (Steven) Glaettli, Nicole, Alex (Kari), Jason (Hillary), Samuel, and Mitchell; 5 great grandchildren, Liam Strater, James Strater, Elliot & Emmett Glaettli and Brendan Strater. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Nicholas Strater whom she married September 9, 1954.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Ascension, 13216 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, Ohio, on Thursday, June 28, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) with a reception to follow. Contributions in her name are suggested to the Crossroads Hospice, 9775 Rockside Rd., Suite 270, Valley View, Ohio, 44125 or Heather Hill Care Communities, 12340 Bass Lake Road, Chardon, Ohio.
