Phyllis Marie Runion

Phyllis Marie Runion, age 68, of Burton, OH, peacefully passed away at her home on June 17, 2022.  Born September 29, 1953, to George and Pearl (nee: Hoke) Morris in Cleveland, OH.  She married David W. Runion Jr. on June 19, 1971, in Newbury, OH.

Phyllis was a selfless, loving woman who always put others ahead of herself.  She loved her Bichon Frise. She was a caregiver to the elderly and helped so many with the tasks they could no longer perform, like grocery shopping, cleaning, bathing and just spending her time with them so they would not be alone, and she would not accept a dime. She loved being there for others.  Phyllis loved buying gifts for people and enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas being her favorite time of the year.    

She is survived by her mother, Pearl Morris of Newbury, OH, husband, David W. Runion Jr.; sons, Michael (Teresa) Runion of Burton Twp., OH and Daniel Runion of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Jackson, and Hazel.

She is preceded in death by her father, George Morris Sr., brother, George Morris, Jr and sister, Betty Evans.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 23, 2022, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, OH, 44024.
