Age 74, of Munson Twp., OH, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 18, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born in Wheeling, WV, on November 29, 1943, to John B. and Margaret (Gundling) Catlett. Paula married Bernard M. Seal Jr. in Miami, FL, on August 31, 1968. She was a Chardon area resident since 1974.
Paula was devoted to her husband, “Sonny”, loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was a “Mom” to many. She was a member of Crescent Chapter #7, Order of the Eastern Star, and had been a BSA Den mother and cheerleader adviser. In Paula’s lifetime, she has enjoyed vacationing at the “Rivah”, snowmobiling, playing golf, reading books, and many, many miles of motorcycle riding with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, “Sonny” Seal of Munson Twp.; daughters, Debbie Smith of Henrico, VA, Teresa (Kirk) Bailey of Chester, VA, Ronda Seal of St. Louis, MO, and Samantha (Dan) Schwartz of Kingsville, OH; sons, Rick (Lori) Shelton of Chesterfield, VA and William J. (Heather) Seal of Painesville, OH; 14 Grandchildren, Jonathon, K.B., Joshua, Bryan, Brandi, Lauren, Hanne, Sommer, Mat, Erin, Aric, Ryan, Adam, and Taylor; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Linda Reda of No. Royalton, OH.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, John & Margaret, sister, Peggy and grandson, Jesse.
There will be a visitation for family and friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. Chardon, OH, with a Celebration of Life Service at 8 p.m. Donations are suggested to a charity of your choice.
