Patrick Paul Ruane, age 77 of Gulf Shores, Alabama and a long-time resident of Chardon, Ohio passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 12, 2018, surrounded by his Wife and Children. Patrick was born on March 17, 1941. He was married for 56 years to Barbara and had 35 grandchildren and counting.
Patrick lived his life happy and content and was easy to speak with. He was honest, genuine, and absolutely one of the kindest people around. He was an excellent provider for his family who worked tirelessly to care for them. In the end, they were able to care for him and show him the love he so dearly deserved.
His legacy is one of honesty, integrity, and kindness. Patrick never really met a stranger. If you had the chance to meet him, you most certainly remembered him fondly. He was a gentle soul who touched so many people with a simple, down to earth personality.
Patrick loved farming, horses, dogs, and everything that God made. He mostly loved his wife Barbara who he always affectionately referred to as his “girlfriend”. He adored his family and enjoyed telling people about them. He was a “rich” man who knew exactly what made him rich too. His family and the memories they made together.
Patrick, you lived a good life and we’re sure that you’re being rewarded for it. We find comfort in the fact that everyone that remembers you, remembers you for just how sweet you were.
Thank you for being a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. You’ll be truly missed but never forgotten.
