Rest in peace, “Mr. Leggett” I have such fond memories as a kid growing up around the Leggett home. My brother Erik and I would come visit Jeff and Gary and either play baseball (Jeff and Erik would always beat Gary and I) or we would build forts in the woods behind their home (I think they made better forts as well). Mr. Leggett would always be working around the house, lifting weights, or setting up his train set. I also met my first love, around 5 years old at their home - Kim Wolpert (Jeff and Gary’s cousin). As young kids we made sure we behaved, or Mr. Leggett would be there to set us straight. My wife works at the nursing home where Mr. Leggett spent his last few months - Mrs. Leggett was there every day taking such great care of him. He was in great hands with her watching over him, as he most undoubtedly appreciated all the time she spent with him and cherished every minute with her. I am convinced he is in a better place and enjoying the many things he hasn’t been able to do the past few years.

Sorry to hear of Nelson's passing. A few year's ago I had the joy of Nelson giving my wife and I a tour of the house where I grew up (117 North Street). I will always remember his kindness and thoughtfulness. God bless.

So sorry for Kay and all the family. Nelson was a good man. I have nice memories of growing up in Montville and playing baseball with him. Glad that I got to visit before he passed away. Much love from Judy and me.

What a fine person. Knew him since we were schoolboys and grew together in Montville. They made a wonder couple.
