Nancy Elaine Pengel (nee: Demeter) age 90, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2023, surrounded by her family. Born on June 18, 1932, to John and Elizabeth (nee: Uveges) Demeter.

She is survived by her loving sons, Jeffery Pengel, and Thomas (Shannon) Pengel, proud grandmother of Nicholas Pengel and Noah Pengel; loving aunt of Dean Eppley, John (Jennifer) Lis, James (Melinda) Lis, and many, many friends.

She is preceded by her parents; beloved husband, Raymond Pengel; daughter Adele Baker; sister, Luana Lis, and niece Mary Lis.

She leaves behind a remarkable legacy of kindness, compassion, and love for everyone she met.

In her memory, a Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Guardian Angles Catholic Church, 1676 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd, Copley, Ohio 44321. Following the Mass, the family will receive guests from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM for hor d’oeuvres and drinks at the Hilton Garden Inn, 3180 W. Market St, Fairlawn, Ohio 44333. Dinner will then be served at 6:00 PM.

Great lady

Some of my favorite childhood memories are when the Pengel, Liptoes, and Bergoch’s got together. “Aunt Nancy” was always so warm and loving and made everything so fun. She loved her family and her friends. She will be missed but happy she we join Ray and Adele. Much love to Jeff and Tom. Diane Bergoch Landies

When I think of Aunt Nancy I immediately get a big smile on my face! She was always so fun and happy to be around. I have so many fond memories of her to cherish forever. I wish her family all my love and prayers that the beautiful memories bring you comfort and peace♡

Nancy was a beautiful lady, who after Adele passed turned around and added me and my family to her list of loved ones. I am very happy that her, Adele and Ray are together again. I know it devastated Nancy every day that Adele was gone. I hope with both of them in heaven they can get the Browns next year to the play offs. My heart is with the family, Love ya! God has received another amazing and remarkable woman, my Godmother and my mom's best friend. I will forever cherish the wonderful times we spent, visiting at the holidays, sharing wine and lunches together, especially at Tim Tree Farm. I'm forever grateful for her words of wisdom, incredible kindness and love.
