Minnie V. Jerke age 81, a homemaker, of Montville Twp. died on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH. Born September 2, 1931 in Montville Twp. to Lester and Mildred (Nee: Phillips) Skinner she was a lifelong resident of Montville Twp. Minnie V. Skinner married Richard E. Jerke in Montville Twp., OH, on December 14, 1956. He preceded in death on April 8, 2003. She was a member of the Thompson United Methodist Church, Thompson Twp, OH. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, flowers and traveling around the USA with her husband. Minnie was a graduate of Chardon High School. She is survived by daughters Judy (Lonnie) Brail of Jefferson, OH, Jean Scribben of Huntsburg Twp., OH and Joan Jerke of Montville Twp., OH; grandchildren Bobby Havlicek, Karen Roderick, Kelly Alisesky, Richard Jerke, J.T. and Steven Ferrand, Dawn & Carl Scribben; 5 Great-grandchildren and sister Carolyn Mills of Montville Twp., OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard E. Jerke and brothers Carl and Ray Skinner. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012, at 11:00AM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, (St. Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon with the Rev. Tom Gruver of the Thompson United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the service. Burial at Montville Cemetery, Montville Twp., OH.
