Mildred “Millie” Wright (nee: Brackney) age 98 of Chardon Twp., formerly Eaton, OH, died Oct. 18, 2013 at Blossom Hill Care Center in Huntsburg. Born Sept. 8, 1915 in Wilmington, OH to John “Jack” and Lillian (nee: Peale) Brackney, she was a teacher with Eaton Schools for 30 years. Millie was an avid musician who specialized in accompanying musicians, dancers and singers. A graduate of Wilmington College, Millie was first chair violinist as well as played piano for dances in the area. She met her husband of 60 years, Charles Wright, at such a dance. She was an expert quilter and made a large collection of porcelain dolls. Millie was baptized a Quaker and was the principal organist with three Methodist churches during her life. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her children Rod (Linda) of Townville, SC, Lil (Ed) Robinette of Dayton, Rae Guckian of Dayton and Peggy (Randy) Elliott of Chardon Twp.; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and many extended family. Millie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Ryan, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. A memorial service will be held in Eaton, OH in November. Arrangements by the Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Chardon.
