Michele Ann Peace

September 6, 1965 - November 9, 2012

Michele Ann Peace (nee: Krahe), Age 47. Wife of David H. Peace, of Chardon, whom she married December 28, 1985, died November 9, 2012 in Chardon, OH. Born in Olean, NY, September 6, 1965, she lived in Olean, NY and Willoughby, OH before moving to Chardon in 1990. She was a self employed Certified Public Accountant since 1996. Previously, she had worked for Eltech in Chardon and the former Arthur Anderson Company. Michele was a member of the Church of St. Mary, Chardon, OH, where she was active in Liturgy, Friendship Breakfast and the Bereavement Ministries. She also served as a board member of the Chardon Schools Foundation, President of WIN (Women in Networking) Cleveland. She volunteered and participated in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk for many years. Michele enjoyed scrap-booking, cooking, travel, skiing and being outdoors. She was a graduate of Olean High School, Class of 1983 and of Cleveland State University, BS in Accounting, Class of 1988. She is survived by her husband David H. Peace of Chardon, OH, 2 Sons: Eric, Student and U.S. Army ROTC Cadet at the University of Notre Dame, Benjamin, Student at the University of Dayton, parents David and Irene (Nee: Skrzypczak) Krahe of Olean, NY, parents in law Russel and Kathleen Peace of Portville, NY, 3 Sisters Mary Krahe of University Hts., OH, Meme (Tommy) Yanetsko of Olean, NY, Marcy Tyler of University Hts., OH, 1 Brother Michael (Pam) Krahe of Brockport, NY , Sister in law Sondra (Bill) Kosinski of Bainbridge Twp., OH, Brothers in Law Greg Peace of Ohio City, OH and Dan (Chris) Peace of Huntsburg Twp., OH, 6 nieces, Megan (Ashley), Melanie, Ashley, Mackenzie, Kayla and Allison and 3 nephews Billy, Jeffrey and Jacob. She is preceded in death by her brothers Matthew J.M. Krahe and Mark Krahe. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 14, 2012, 10:00 AM at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon, OH 44024. Rev. Dan Redmond will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 13, 1:00 – 3:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, (St. Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp., OH.

Michele was a great Mom. I saw her caring at school and swim team events. Eric and Ben I know a mom's love and she has it for you forever. I lost my mom on Oct 15th. Thoughts pop into my head daily, things I want to tell her, it takes adjusting. Ben and Eric be proud of your mom and know in some capacity she will always be around when you need her. Enjoy college and do well, she will be proud of you both always.

I will keep Michele in my prayers. I will never forget the smiles on her face when we were designing the details in your home, I was one of the lucky ones that witnessed her creativity. She will always be there at your side and a part of that home. God Bless

Heartfelt condolences to the Krahe and Peace families for your loss of Michele. The Krahes lived upstairs from my family in the '60s so we knew Michele as a baby. Words fail at a time like this. I didn't know her as an adult but can see in her eyes the light and qualities so many have mentioned in their tributes. May God's love comfort you all.

I had the pleasure of meeting Michele for the first time on our first day of high school. We shared the same homeroom for four years as well as several classes. Michele was smart, funny and a good person. I'm so sad to hear of her passing. My condolences to the families. She will be greatly missed this year at our high school reunion, and always. I reconnected with Michele at a reunion and we chatted on facebook. Michele was smart talented and sweet as could be. I was blessed to have known her and even more thankful that we reconnected. I live near Notre Dame and her family can call on me to help out anytime. She worried that her son would be lonely at Notre Dame and asked if he could call me if he ever needed to. We are here for you. We will miss you Michele.

My mother and us would marvel at the closeness and love that was proudly shown by the Krahe family as they sat together in the pew in St Marys church. Michelle was a great lady! Greg has worked with Michelle for years and always had the highest regard for her and the quality of work that she did.
