Michael Joseph Lencoski, age 65, of Claridon Township, passed away December 7, 2021, at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born in Meriden, Connecticut to John and Viola (nee: Myjak) Lencoski on January 24, 1956. He attended St. Stanislaus Parochial School through the 8th grade and pursued a trade in Tool & Die making at H.C. Wilcox Regional Vocational School. Mike moved his family to the Chardon area in 1991.
He was an avid outdoorsman and his favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He also enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and fruit trees, and spending time at his pond at home with his family and Labradors. He was a passionate home cook and took pride in preparing large meals for family and friends. He also enjoyed family vacations on the east coast and clamming in Ninigret Pond in Charlestown, Rhode Island.
He is survived by his three children, Leslie Lencoski, Ryan (Megan Fisher) Lencoski, and Joseph Lencoski. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, John and Viola, and his brother Jack.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 3:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024. A Celebration of Life ceremony for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
