Maureen (nee: Connors) SIMKINS age 53 of Munson Twp. died Dec 7, 2013 at UH Medical Center in Cleveland. Born June 20, 1960 in Cleveland to Walter and Margaret (nee: Fargo) Connors, she had been a lifelong area resident. Maureen was an RN and Nursing Administrator with University Hospital in Cleveland for 29 years. She was a very kind and giving person, even donating to Life Bank. She was a devoted wife to Raymond of Munson Twp.; loving mother to Ryan of Munson Twp.; cherished sister of Kelly Connors of Chardon; father-in-law Paul Simkins of Cincinnati; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Patrick and Ronald Connors. FUNERALSVC: 10am on Thursday Dec 12, 2013 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH with burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp. VISITATION: 5-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.

We will miss Maureen! She was not only our head nurse for years but our neighbor as well! Our condolences to Kelly , Ray , and Ryan . She was very proud of her family, they meant everything to her!

I am so sorry to hear of Maureen's passing. She was a classmate of mine and a dear, kind, considerate person. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I learned earlier today from my friend Wendy that Maureen had died. I am so deeply saddened. I can still see her beautiful face from when we were in high school. Although I have not seen her since then it makes it no easier to lose yet another classmate at such a young age and still a friend. May God Bless her and have her happy in heaven with her family, and prayers to her surviving family and friends.
