Marie Elaine (nee: Stone) Wallace
age 65, of Warren, OH, passed away unexpectedly, on June 19, 2019. She was born December 17, 1953 in Ravenna, Ohio, to Raymond and Janet Stone. Marie was raised on Tilden Ave in Chardon, Ohio. She and her husband, James Wallace have been together since 1973, and they lived on the “Space Coast” of Florida for 38 years before returning to Ohio 9 years ago.
Marie was a homemaker, the “Glue of the family,” a wonderful mother, “Mom” to her children’s friends and she lived for her grandchildren. She was very active in her sons’ lives being a team mom for baseball and a den mother for scouts. She was active with the Brevard Ferret Lovers Rescue. Marie had also climbed telephone poles, hanging cable for Okee Air Co in Florida and worked for Union Carbide and she was the first female licensed in Florida to transport powder for dynamite.
She is survived by her husband, James Wallace of Warren, OH; sons, Bradley of Cocoa, FL and David of McDonald, OH; mother, Janet A. Campbell of Warren; Grandchildren, Shawn, Eric, Matthew, Miranda, Megan, Mason, Oliver and Alton; brothers, Darrell (Kathy) Stone of Chardon, OH, Christopher (Michelle) Stone of Chardon, OH and Van Stone of Medina, OH; sister, Robyn (Michael) Bollinger of Lake Aquila, OH;
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street,Chardon, OH 44024. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
