Marie D. Giancola, age 83, of Mentor on the Lake, Ohio, passed away at her home on June 16, 2021. Born November 25, 1937 to Nicholas and Mary (nee: Sorci) Giancola in Cleveland, Ohio.
She worked at Corky and Lenny’s as a waitress for 18 years and retired in 1995. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, camping and going to the casinos.
She is survived by many cousins; nephew, William (Rebecca) Shriver of Chardon, Ohio, Richard Shriver of Clarksdale, AZ, Patricia (David) Rupert of Rock Creek, OH, Nicholas (Wendy) Giancola of Herndon, VA. and many great nieces and nephews.
Marie is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Nicholas Giancola, sister Delores Shriver and nephew, Christopher Giancola.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 a.m at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024. Interment to follow at All Souls Cemetery.
