Margaret Peggy Watkins, 84, of Thompson Township, died August 18, 2007, at Broadfield Manor in Madison.Born December 20, 1922, in New Castle, Pa., she was a resident of Geauga County since the 1950’s.Mrs. Watkins was a supporter of many charities and was a member of the Church of St. Mary. She believed in and valued a strong work ethic and made family a priority. She was active in Union Local #880 and was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.She retired from Fisher Fazio Foods and had also owned and operated the former Montville Corner Store which is now Montville Country Store.Survivors are her daughters, Lillian McCollum of Rome and Mary Elizabeth Betty Watkins McCollum Tepley Kline of Thompson; grandchildren, Terri Spicer, Theodore Staszko, George McCollum II, Amanda Perry and Carol Tepley; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Butch Rosacco of Pepper Pike, Charles Rosacco of Wickliffe, Ernie Rosacco of Cleveland and James Rosacco of Chesterland; and sisters, Micki Shingara of Chesterland and Josephine Dolly Rinaldi of Mayfield Heights. Her husband, George H. Watkins; daughter, Georgia Ann Watkins; parents, Phillip and Carmella (Sardi) Richards; and sister, Phyllis Marmo, are deceased.Friends may call 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Fr. Thomas Gilles of the Church of St. Mary will officiate services. Private family interment will be in Montville Cemetery.
