I was very fortunate to marry into a family that still had grandparents alive & kicking. My own passed on prior to me being able to know any of them. Grandma Steele gave me the opportunity to feel the love a grandchild feels and the know the wisdom of a generation that writes letters, that documents history and genuinely live life to the fullest. She sent me birthday cards, anniversary cards and once they showed up, her great-grand kids received the same love. We had opportunities to visit Ohio from California and were lucky to have a few visits out hear as well including our own wedding in 2000. My husband, Charles Roger Steele (Named for his grandfather & father) has a voice so close to that of his father that she said she could listen to him talk about anything. We carried out a family tradition of the name "Lee" with both of our children. Bai"Lee" and Zachary Lee. We already feel the void, knowing she is now not just far away in Ohio, but no longer somewhere we can visit. But we all know she lead a wonderful life and was a role model for all of us.Love,Sarah, Charlie, Bailee & Zachary Lee Steele

Just wanted to say that even though I had only visited a few times with Mrs. Steele she was always so kind and friendly. I am sorry for your loss.

Dear Family-Our prayers are with you and even though I did not see Aunt Lois often over the last years, she was always in my prayers and thoughts. I will always remember being at Grey Horse Farm for the many pot lucks, special occasions, or just having fun. Aunt Lois always was the greatest hostess. She had the best ice cream and ice tea! My fondest memory though, was helping her pick vegetables and corn from the garden. I am going to miss you, Aunt Lois, but am sure that you are in the arms of the Lord right now and talking and walking with Uncle Chuck.
