Linda Chapek, age 63 of Thompson, surrounded by family and friends went to be home with the Lord on March 9, 2022. She was born March 1, 1959, in Pike County, Kentucky and married to David Chapek, the love of her life, 45 years ago.

Linda was an avid bowler and gardener and enjoyed quilting.  She attended The First United Methodist Church of East Claridon.

She is survived by her husband, David of Thompson; her mother Brenda Rife of Hambden, son, Jason Chapek; grandsons, Charles Chapek, Collin Chapek and Carter Chapek of Solon; brother, Mark Rife of Hambden; nieces, Amanda Rife of Hambden, Emmy (Ryan) Chapek Beeson of Marysville and Tami Chapek currently traveling, niece, Hillary (Craig) Layman of Thompson; nephews, Cameron (Lindsey) Morse of Montville and Todd (Dani) Morse of Knoxville, TN; brothers-in-law Robert (Susan) Chapek of Thompson and William (Sarah) Chapek of Concord, N.C; sisters-in-law, Nancy Hawley of Thompson, Jill (Larry) Chapek of Thompson, and Chris (Melanie) Chapek of Geneva.

Linda is preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Chapek; her father, Marvin Rife; brother, Clifton Rife and niece, Kelly Hawley.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the funeral home.  Interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson, OH. Pastor Karen Cico will officiate services.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to Rescue Village, 15463 Chillicothe Road, Novelty, Ohio 44072.
