Leila C. “Billy” Conley, age 85, of Newbury, OH, peacefully passed away on January 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at her home.  Born February 28, 1937, to Dale and Gertrude (nee: Pray) May in Cleveland, OH.

She married Paul H. Conley on April 23, 1977, at the Historical Society in Burton, OH. They made their home in Newbury where Billy loved entertaining, having gatherings and spending time with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed celebrating birthdays and holidays.  She loved eating Chinese food for Christmas, which was a family tradition that began with her father.  Taking pictures of her family was her passion and making many photo albums of memories to be shared was her favorite hobby.

She is survived by her husband, Paul H. Conley; sons, David Portman of Troy, OH, Jeff Portman of Newbury, OH, Scott Souvey of Newbury, OH, Russell (Missy) Conley of Hambden Twp., and daughter, Heather (Tony) Costanzo of Strongsville, OH; Grandchildren, Kyle Portman, Ashley (Joel) Tomlinson, Brandon Portman, Rusty (Shelby) Conley, Amanda (Luke) Pierce, Isabella Costanzo, Sam Costanzo, Gabby Costanzo; Great Grandson, Aiden Tomlinson and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Betty and Barbara.

A visitation for friends and family will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, OH  44024.  A time of sharing your memories of Billy will follow at 7:00 p.m.
