LAWRENCE LEROY BERKEBILE (LARRY), Age 82, of Springboro, PA, formerly of Chardon, OH, passed away on December 22, 2021, after a long illness. Born February 13, 1939, to Lawrence “Bud” Arthur Berkebile and Dorothy E. (Curry) Berkebile in Cleveland, Ohio. Larry served in the United States Army. He retired after 50 years as a foreman for Euclid Spring Company. He was a man of many talents and enjoyed creating stained glass, racing, and restoring vintage cars, woodworking, and painting. He was also a big outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elaine (Adams) Berkebile. Children, son, Kenneth Berkebile (Mimi), and daughter Darlene Berkebile-Hough (Jon). Grandchildren, Melissa Berkebile-Ward (John), Jessica Berkebile, Savannah Hough, and Searra Hough. Great-Granddaughter, Wren Ward.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Arthur, and Dorothy E. Berkebile.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Chardon VFW, 752 Chardon Road, Chardon, OH 44024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held the following day at 11:00 a.m. on May 19, 2022, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Munson Twp.
