Hi Scott and Karen. So sorry to hear about the passing of your daughter. Joe Bergen sent us a note in that regard. It is hard to see the passing of one of your children. The normal order of things would say that we pass before our children, but sometimes God works things differently. Mary & I wish you God's blessing as He gives you strength during this difficult time. Emanuel & Mary Petersheim

Dear Simpson family: We heard about Laura's passing today and were so saddened by the news. We lived with Laura in "foxden" at Miami and have such good memories of her. She was the sweetest, kindest person...always taking care of others. She also had the most beautiful smile and such a gentle spirit. She did so many little things to make our house feel like a home. Sort of like our own house mother! Although we haven't all stayed in touch very well, she remains a part of our college family and we send our love to you, especially to her children. Please know our thoughts are with you at this time. Our sincere condolences, Cindy (Baumann) Terme, Jennifer (Smith) McKinnell, Felicia Zakem, Tara (Silversmith) Funk and Marjon Kamrani

Karen and Scott, I'm so very sorry to hear of the loss of your dear daughter. I know that things sounded very serious when we spoke at Bass Lake earlier this summer. It sounds like Laura was a brave, brave woman and fought a tremendous fight. I'm so sorry for your loss and know that many hold you all in prayer. God bless you all and I continue to pray for strength and peace during your time of such great sorrow. Affectionately, Connie
