Kelly Joeine Hawley, Age 50, a lifelong resident of Thompson Twp., OH, died on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at UH Geauga Medical Center. She was born at Geauga Hospital on July 27, 1969 to Howard H. and Nancy (Nee: Chapek) Hawley and graduated from Ledgemont High School Class of 1988. She then attended Edinboro University, receiving her BS in Nursing in 1993.
Kelly was an avid reader; a TV buff, enjoying Horror movies and cooking shows; very involved in Adult Coloring; and was a great baseball fan of the NY Mets, Atlanta Braves and the #1 fan of the Cleveland Indians.
Survivors include her mother, Nancy of Thompson Twp., OH; aunts, Jill Chapek (Lawrence Morse) of Trumbull Twp. and Chris (Mel Sanders) Chapek of Geneva, OH; uncles, Robert (Susan) Chapek of Thompson, William (Sarah) Chapek of Concord, NC; and
David (Linda) Chapek of Thompson; cousins, Emmy Beeson, Tammi Chapek, Glee Slivka, Jennifer Dunning, Hillary Layman, William Richardson, Jason Chapek, Todd and Cameron Morse; and many nieces and nephews. Kelly was preceded in death by her father and cousin, Jeremy Chapek.
Kelly was also loved by her “fur babies” Zoey, Mizz and Izzy, waiting for her in heaven are Chip, Blackie, Lucky Bob, Ike, Spike and Zippy.
The family will receive friends at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, OH, on Friday, March 20, 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 7:00 PM with the Funeral Services at 7:00 PM. The Interment will be on Saturday, March 21, 11:00 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Thompson Twp., OH.
