KATRINA “KATIE” LYNN HEIDEN
Age 38, of Hambden Twp., perished tragically due to a house fire in her home on September 8, 2022. Born September 5, 1984, to Perry Heiden and Lisa (Mansfield) Heiden in Painesville, she was a lifelong Chardon and Hambden Twp. resident. Katies greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved taking Chloe and Carson to the water parks, the beach and coaching Chloe’s softball team. She loved visiting Arizona and music made her happy. Katie was a lifelong learner; she never stopped her with education. She graduated this past May from Lakeland Community College with her degree in Radiology. She worked in some form of healthcare since she was 14 years old and was currently a Radiology Tech at UH Geauga Medical Center. Katie had a huge heart for everyone, especially those is need and the elderly.
Katie is survived by the love of her life, Rob Sharp, her son, Carson, her parents, her sisters Jessica (Josh) Breedlove of Windsor, Jackie (Fred Buck) Heiden of Hambden, grandparents William and Barbara Mansfield of Hudson, Judith Rexrode of Willowick, many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will host a Celebration of her life at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Berkshire Local Schools, 14155 Claridon Troy Rd., Burton, OH 44021. Parking is on the northside of Berkshire High School. Enter through door number 2 and proceed downstairs to the gymnasium; bleacher seating is available. For those needing handicap access, please contact the funeral home at 440-285-2182.

I would like to express my condolences to both the Heiden family and the Sharp family. I cannot begin to imagine the grief they are going through.
Katie and I went to school together, and its more apparent to me than ever, how blessed I was to have her for a friend during that time. Katie's sense of humor and positivity was a bright and shining light for those of us who knew her, in our shared adolescence experience. I was also fortunate enough to see her when I was an adult, for a brief moment, and that light was still as bright as ever. I can see that same goodness in the smile of Katie's children.
I hope during this difficult time the Sharp family and the Heiden family can stay close to their faith in God, and remember that he is the God of life and creation. There is no question that the world would not be as good of a place without their existence. We are all better for having had them in our lives. Katie and Chloe led a life of loving God's creations and we should all try to live by their example.
