Judith Ann Stepp, age 71 of Orwell, passed away Aug. 7, 2016 at Blossom Hill Care Center after a short battle with Leukemia. Born Oct. 23, 1944 in Charleston, WV to Pastor John and Carrie (nee: Kessinger) Stepp; she had been a longtime Coffee City, TX resident before moving back to the area four years ago. She was raised in Hartsgrove and attended Grand Valley schools. Judy was a former Administrative Officer at the US Dept. of Agriculture in Eugene, OR. She moved to Coffee City, TX where she lived for 28 years. She owned and operated Action Video and later Rug Rats Day Care. Judy enjoyed spending time on Lake Palestine on her pontoon boat “The Friendship” with her Texas family. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, classic cars and playing her guitar and singing with her siblings. Survivors include her children Cherie (Kenneth) Haught of Orwell, Tracey (Kenny) Dobbins of Rome, Janine Mark of Eugene, OR, Cash (Gina) Naftzger of Canton and Clay (Nina) Naftzger of North Bend, OR; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters Barbara (Ray) Masters of Orwell, Diane Stevens of Orwell, Deborah (Bob) Pfleger of Williamsfield and Terry (Terry) Stanek of Orwell and many extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Charles “Randy” Follmer; grandson Cash Kelly Naftzger Jr; brothers John L. Stepp Jr, Roy M. Stepp, William E. Stepp and Mark J. Stepp. Private family services were held.
