JOSEPH “JOE” H. MILLER SR.

Joseph “Joe” H. Miller Sr., Age 100, Passed away peacefully on July 28, 2022 in Mentor, Oh. Joe was born on June 19, 1922 in Timblin, PA to Tiffany and Vida (nee: Shirey) Miller. He was a long-time resident of Chardon. Joe joined the United States Army November 11, 1942. He was in the 10^th Armoured Division, 90^th Cav. Recn. and he served in World War II. Joe married the love of his life Agnes Marie Bryson in 1948. Not long after they started a family and Joseph Jr. and Timothy were born. Joe enjoyed gardening, wood carving, and playing cards with friends. He was a member for many years with the Kiwanis Club of Chardon.

He is survived by his two sons Joseph Miller Jr. and Timothy Miller (husband Danny Sprouse).

He is preceded in death by his wife, Agnes (Nee: Bryson); Siblings, Ruth Shaffer and Blake Miller.

Memorial service will be held at a later date. Family suggest donations can be made to the Kiwanis Club of Chardon in his memory.

JH and Tim, You are in our thoughts as we remember all the good times we have with Marie and Joe and Gail and all of the Chardon gang. I have a flock of birds that were carved and painted by Joe. Please let us know when the memorial service will occur. Judi and Terry Sheridan

I was very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. My family and I were very fond of both Joe and Marie. He and my dad were longtime Kiwanis buddies. Many years ago he gave me one of his hand carved wooden birds, I still have it displayed in my home. My condolences to Tim and JH for the loss of their father.
